Terms of service

Last updated: 11 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-11

The short version. My Case gives you legal information and prepares draft court documents for your own case in England and Wales. We are not solicitors and we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. You stay in charge of your case: you check, sign, file and serve your own documents. Our strategies are a guide only — you decide whether to use them, and you confirm this before you pay. The first analysis is free. Paid services are a one-off payment, with no subscription. There are no refunds once your service has been delivered, as explained in section 11.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Enjoy Life Element 5 Ltd. “You” means the person using My Case.

2.Our websites and our group

Enjoy Life Element 5 Ltd operates several websites and businesses under different trading names, including My Case (my-case.net), Enjoy Homemade & Co (enjoyco.store) and Farmer's Choice. Each website has its own terms. These terms apply only to My Case.

Enjoy Life Element 5 Ltd is part of the Enjoy Life Group (“the Group”). Payments for My Case are shown on your bank statement and on the Revolut payment page as ENJOY LIFE ELEMENT 5 LTD. Other companies in the Group may provide technical, administrative or support services to us. Your contract for My Case is only with Enjoy Life Element 5 Ltd, and only we are responsible to you for the service.

Paying for My Case does not create an account or contract with any of our other websites or with any other company in the Group. We do not share your case information with our other websites or businesses for their own purposes.

3.What these terms cover

These terms apply when you use my-case.net, including the free tools (document guide, law search and glossary), the timeline tool, the free case analysis, and the paid services. Please read them before you use the service. By ticking the box when you submit your case, you agree to these terms.

If you use My Case for a business, sections 11 and 12 (cancellation and refunds for consumers) do not apply to you, and section 14.5 applies.

4.What My Case is — and is not

4.1 My Case gives general legal information about civil court procedure in England and Wales, analyses the information and documents you give us, and prepares draft documents, including official HMCTS court forms, for you to use in your own case.

4.2 We are not a law firm. We are not solicitors, barristers or chartered legal executives, and we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Bar Standards Board or CILEx Regulation. You do not have the protections that come with using a regulated lawyer, such as access to the Legal Ombudsman or compulsory professional indemnity insurance.

4.3 We do not act for you. We do not conduct litigation for you, file or serve documents for you, contact the court or the other side on your behalf, or represent you at any hearing. These are reserved legal activities under the Legal Services Act 2007. You remain a litigant in person and in charge of your own case.

4.4 No guarantee of outcome. No one can guarantee how a court will decide a case. Our analysis and strategy are our best assessment based on what you tell us. They are not a promise of any result.

4.5 Guidance only — your decision. Every strategy, analysis, explanation and document we provide is guidance for you to consider. It is not an instruction and not the only way to deal with your case. We explain why a strategy may work, what could go wrong and what other options exist, but whether you follow it, change it or do something else is entirely your decision, and you are responsible for that decision and for what you file with the court.

4.6 Sign and ready to send. If you choose this service, you sign on our website yourself and confirm the statement of truth yourself. We place your signature, the date and your name on your forms and prepare an email for you. You send the forms to the court and the other side yourself. We do not file, issue or serve documents for you.

4.7 Scope. My Case covers civil cases and family court applications in the courts of England and Wales (County Court, High Court and Family Court). It does not cover criminal or immigration matters, or cases in Scotland or Northern Ireland. Where a case has links with another country (for example, a party lives in Norway or the EU), we can point out cross-border issues, but our information is based on the law of England and Wales.

5.Who can use My Case

You must be 18 or over and use My Case for your own case, or for a case where you are authorised to act (for example, as a director of a company that is a party, or as a litigation friend). You must not use My Case to prepare documents for other people as a paid service.

6.How the service works

6.1 Free analysis. You upload your documents and/or describe your case. We show you a summary of where you stand, your next deadline and which court form you are likely to need.

6.1A Deadline check (paid). You see the exact date of your next deadline, what you must do by then, and the other deadlines we found in your case. Deadlines are calculated from the documents and information you give us; the dates printed on court documents take priority.

6.2 Case update (paid). A case update includes the deadline check. You receive your full written strategy (steps, deadlines, strengths, weaknesses and inconsistencies found), the legal sources relied on with an indication of whether each one was found in an official database, and one court form filled in with your information, for you to check, sign and file.

6.3 Personal file review (paid). Everything in a case update, plus a personal review as described in section 13.

6.4 Each payment covers one update. If new documents arrive or your case moves on, a new analysis is a new purchase.

6.5 Access to your results. Your results are available through a private link on the device you used. Keep that link safe. Anyone with the link can see your results. We keep your case for the period set out in our privacy notice.

7.Artificial intelligence

7.1 We use artificial intelligence (AI) to read your documents, prepare your analysis and fill in your court form. We have designed the service to reduce errors, but AI can make mistakes. It can misread a document, miss a fact, or state the law incorrectly.

7.2 We check the legislation and court judgments relied on against legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law (The National Archives). Each source is marked as verified, not found, or not checked. Do not rely on any source marked “not found” or “could not check” without checking it yourself. Courts have criticised parties, including litigants in person, who put fictitious or incorrect citations before them.

7.3 You must read everything we produce before you rely on it, and you must not file any document you have not checked.

8.Your responsibilities

You agree to:

(a) give us information that is true, complete and up to date, including all relevant documents, even those that do not help your case;
(b) check every answer in any form or document we prepare and correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
(c) sign any statement of truth yourself, and only if you honestly believe the facts are true. Making a false statement in a document verified by a statement of truth can lead to proceedings for contempt of court;
(d) file and serve your documents yourself, in the right way, and before the deadline;
(e) check deadlines against the documents the court has sent you. The dates printed on court documents take priority over any date we calculate;
(f) keep copies of everything you send and receive; and
(g) only upload documents that you are entitled to use, and not upload anything unlawful.

9.Prices and payment

9.1 The document guide, law search, glossary and the first analysis are free. The paid services cost:

ServicePrice (GBP)

Deadline check (your exact deadline dates and what you must do by then, for your case)£10
Case update (strategy, case report and main court form)£49

9.2 Other currencies. You can choose to pay in another currency, including EUR, USD, CHF, SEK, DKK, PLN, CZK, HUF and RON. The price in that currency is shown before you pay and is the price you pay. Your bank may charge its own fees.

9.3 Prices include VAT where it applies. There are no other charges and no subscription.

9.4 Payment. Payment is taken by card or Revolut Pay through Revolut, our payment provider. We do not see or store your card details.

9.5 Pricing errors. If we have made an obvious mistake in a price, we will contact you, and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel and get a full refund.

10.When our contract starts and delivery

10.1 Our contract for a paid service starts when your payment is confirmed. We will show you a confirmation on the website.

10.2 A case update is delivered on the website immediately after your payment is confirmed. If there is a technical problem, we will deliver it as soon as reasonably possible and in any event within 2 working days.

10.3 For the personal file review, we will contact you within 2 working days to arrange the review.

10.4 Your confirmation before paying. Before you pay, you must tick a box to confirm that you have read and accept these terms, that the strategy and documents are a guide only, that you decide whether and how to use them, that you must check, sign and file any document yourself, and that we are not responsible for your decisions or the outcome of your case. We keep a record of this confirmation (date, time and the version of these terms).

10.5 Court forms are not affected by our service. Court fees, if any, are paid by you directly to the court.

11.No refunds once delivered

11.1 Our services are delivered straight after payment: your deadline, strategy, case report and court forms are made available to you on the website as soon as your payment is confirmed.

11.2 Before you pay, you ask us to deliver the service immediately and confirm that you understand you lose your right to cancel once it has been delivered (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, regulation 36). We record this confirmation.

11.3 This means there are no refunds once the service you paid for has been delivered.

12.Problems with your order

If something is wrong with what you received, use our contact form and choose “A problem with my case or form”. We will look at it and put it right.

13.Personal file review

13.1 The personal file review is a review of your documents and your approach, of up to 30 minutes, by an experienced case reviewer, followed by a written action plan sent by email.

13.2 The reviewer is not a solicitor or barrister, does not act for you, and gives information and observations, not regulated legal advice.

13.3 We will offer you at least two time slots. If you do not respond within 14 days of our first contact, we may treat the review as provided, but we will tell you before we do.

13.4 If we have to cancel your session, we will offer a new time. If we cannot provide the review at all, we will refund the difference between the personal file review and a case update.

14.Our responsibility to you

14.1 We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill, as required by law.

14.2 What we do not exclude. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

14.3 What we are not responsible for. Because you remain in charge of your case and must check and file your own documents, we are not responsible for:

(a) the outcome of your case, or any decision of a court or the other side;
(aa) your decision to follow, change or not follow any strategy or guidance we provide;
(b) loss caused by information you gave us that was wrong or incomplete, or by documents you did not give us;
(c) loss caused by you filing a document without checking it, or by you not meeting a deadline;
(d) any document you change after we prepared it; or
(e) loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.

14.4 Limit. Subject to section 14.2, our total liability to you for any one paid service is limited to the price you paid for it. If you use only the free tools, our liability is limited to £100.

14.5 Business users. If you use My Case for a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

14.6 Our website links to other websites, such as gov.uk, legislation.gov.uk and advice services. We are not responsible for their content.

15.Court forms, content and intellectual property

15.1 The court forms we provide are HMCTS forms, © Crown copyright, reproduced under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Legislation and judgments are © Crown copyright and are used under the Open Government Licence and the Open Justice Licence. We are not part of, or endorsed by, HM Courts & Tribunals Service or any court.

15.2 We use the current versions of forms published on gov.uk when we prepare them. Forms can change. Check that the form version printed in the footer is still current if you file it later.

15.3 The website design, text, software and the analysis we prepare for you belong to us or our licensors. You may use your analysis and documents for your own case, including sharing them with the court, the other side, a lawyer or an adviser. You must not copy, resell or republish our website content or service.

16.Acceptable use

You must not: use My Case for anything unlawful or to harass anyone; upload malware or try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the service; use automated tools to extract content; try to get paid content without paying; or upload documents or information about other people that you have no right to use. We may suspend access if you break these rules.

17.Your information

We use your personal information, including your documents, as set out in our privacy notice. Your documents are analysed by our AI provider, which acts on our instructions. Do not upload more than you need for your case.

18.Complaints

If you are unhappy, send us a message using our contact form, choose “A complaint” and include your payment reference. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to give you a full response within 14 days. Because we are not a regulated law firm, the Legal Ombudsman cannot deal with complaints about us. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you can take it to the courts (see section 21).

19.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the law or our service changes. The terms that apply to a paid service are the ones in force when you paid. The date at the top shows when these terms were last updated.

20.Other important terms

20.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another company, including another company in the Group. We will tell you if this happens, and it will not affect your rights.

20.2 Only you and we have rights under these terms. No one else can enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

20.3 If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest will still apply.

20.4 If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

20.5 We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control, such as failures of internet, hosting or payment providers. We will tell you and try to minimise the effect.

21.Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings about these terms in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
